We’re seeking an experienced Network Segmentation Architect to join our team supporting. This is a fully remote opportunity for a security-focused Azure networking expert who thrives in designing and managing segmentation strategies in complex cloud environments.

• Design and deploy secure network segmentation using VNets, Subnets, NSGs, and ASGs.
• Isolate critical workloads and enforce compliance through robust segmentation strategies.

Security Integration with Microsoft Defender

• Utilize MS Defender for Cloud and Endpoint to enforce security controls and monitor threats.
• Configure alerts, baseline security policies, and integrate with broader security ecosystems.
• Use tools like ARM templates, Ansible, or PowerShell to automate deployment and enforcement of network policies.
• Develop proactive monitoring and incident response workflows using automation.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

• Leverage Azure Monitor and other tools to ensure segmented networks are optimized and secure.
• Identify and resolve performance issues or security gaps.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure segmentation designs align with standards like NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR.
• Apply micro-segmentation techniques to reduce attack surfaces and improve resilience.
• Maintain clear documentation for configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Generate reports on security posture and Defender alerts to guide continuous improvements.
• Proven experience in network engineering or IT security, particularly within Azure IaaS.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Defender for Cloud / Endpoint.
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and segmentation strategy.
