Job summary
Cymertek seeks a Network Architect to design scalable, secure network infrastructures and drive implementation across complex environments. You will collaborate with technical teams to ensure reliability and performance while evaluating the latest technologies to meet client needs.
The role requires deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, firewall/VPN expertise, and experience with cloud networking. You will design, document, and optimize networks, contributing to a resilient IT backbone for federal
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Focus areas include CS, IT, networking, or cybersecurity.

- Collaborate with teams to ensure reliable, high-performance networks.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and optimize performance.

- Strong understanding of network architecture and design
- Experience with network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP)
- Knowledge of network security principles and practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues
- Familiarity with cloud network infrastructures (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Ability to design scalable, high-performance networks
- Proficiency in network design tools (e.g., Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3)
- Expertise in firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs
- Experience with network automation and scripting
- Understanding of network performance monitoring tools
- Knowledge of IPv6 addressing and implementation
- Familiarity with SDN (Software-Defined Networking)
- Experience with wireless networking and technologies
- Knowledge of load balancing and traffic management
- Familiarity with network virtualization techniques
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
- Expertise in disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Experience with network infrastructure optimization tools
