Job summary

Talener is seeking a Senior Network Architect to lead the strategic design and evolution of a global enterprise network environment in Boston, MA. The role combines hands-on implementation with architectural leadership across LAN, WAN, data center, security and SD-WAN domains.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of enterprise networking experience, strong Cisco expertise, and a track record of designing scalable, secure networks and related infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise networking.
• Experience designing, implementing and managing LAN/WAN, data center and security environments.
• Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Experience with SD-WAN, SDN, VXLAN, and modern enterprise networking architectures.
• Experience with load balancing and application delivery technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic architecture and design of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Design, deploy, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, SD-WAN, load balancing, VoIP, video, and related infrastructure.
• Develop network architecture standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in the design of new offices, data centers, server rooms, and network facilities.
• Design and implement secure network architectures incorporating firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, NAC, IDS/IPS, DMZs.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network architecture and configuration documentation.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams on enterprise technology initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership on major infrastructure projects from architecture and planning through implementation and testing.

• Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies, including enterprise routers, switches, data center networking, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, STP, VRRP/HSRP, LACP, QoS,
• Experience with SD-WAN, SDN, network virtualization, VXLAN, network segmentation, and modern enterprise networking architectures.
• Experience with F5 or similar load balancing and application delivery technologies.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IP address management, traffic management, and network services.
• CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCDA, CCSP are nice to have
• Experience withAzurecloud networking environments

Compensation

• $200,000-220,000
