Job summary

WorkNovas LLC is seeking a Network Architect to lead the design, evolution, and governance of a global hybrid network infrastructure from Lowell, MA.

The role demands deep expertise in enterprise network architecture, multi-cloud networking (Azure and GCP), firewall architectures, security principles, and IaC-driven automation. Hybrid in-office schedule Mon-Wed, 6-month contract to hire, with emphasis on scalability and observability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing and architecting complex global network environments.
• Deep expertise in enterprise network architecture and multi-cloud networking.
• Strong knowledge of network security design principles and secure access.
• Experience with automation and observability as part of network ops.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, evolution, and governance of our global hybrid network infrastructure.
• Define enterprise networking strategy across on-prem, cloud, and security domains for scalability and resiliency.
• Build and maintain the enterprise network architecture roadmap guiding growth and cloud adoption.
• Architect global network solutions across data centers, campuses, branches, cloud, and internet edge.
• Design resilient WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, Internet, and cloud interconnects.
• Drive IaC and network automation adoption.
• Define automation standards using Terraform, Ansible, APIs, and CI/CD.
• Define observability/monitoring using Splunk, ThousandEyes, and related tools.
• Extensive experience with Palo Alto and Juniper firewall architectures.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust, segmentation, secure access, and network security design.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise load balancing: F5, Azure LB, Google Cloud LB.
• Familiar with Agentic AI/Generative AI and intelligent automation to modernize ops.

• Seeking an experienced and visionary Network Architect to lead the design, evolution, and governance of our global hybrid network infrastructure.
• This role is responsible for defining and driving the enterprise networking strategy across on-premises, cloud, and security domains while ensuring scalability, resiliency, performance, and operational excellence.
• The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in enterprise network architecture, multi-cloud networking (Azure and GCP), network security, automation, and observability.
• 10+ years of experience designing and architecting complex global network environments.
• Define and maintain the enterprise network architecture roadmap supporting business growth, cloud adoption, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Lead the architecture and design of global network solutions spanning data centers, campuses, branch locations, cloud environments, and internet edge connectivity.
• Architect resilient WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, Internet, and cloud interconnect solutions.
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and network automation frameworks.
• Define automation standards utilizing Terraform, Ansible Automation Platform, APIs, and CI/CD methodologies.
• Define network observability and monitoring strategies utilizing platforms such as Splunk, ThousandEyes, and related tools.
