Job summary

ClearBridge Technology Group in Boston, MA seeks a CCIE-certified Network Architect for a 4-month contract. You will deliver advanced network architecture, engineering, and operational support to ensure uptime and performance.

Responsibilities include L2/L3 troubleshooting in Cisco IOS environments, protocol redistribution, security hardening, and RCA with knowledge transfer to strengthen internal capabilities.

Job description

Our client, located in Boston MA, is currently in need of a Network Architect for a 4 month contract.The CCIE certified Network Architect will be responsible for delivering advanced network architecture, engineering, and operational support services. This role is expected to function at a strategic design and architecture level while also supporting critical operational needs as required.

Responsibilities:

• 1. Support daily network operations to maintain uptime, performance, and operational continuity.
• 2. Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting across routing, switching, and production Cisco environments (IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR).
• 3. Assist with protocol redistribution, configuration updates, and change management activities.
• 4. Support patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle operations.
• 5. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and provide optimization recommendations.
• 6. Contribute to security hardening and assist during incident response efforts.
• 7. Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, SAN mappings, and configuration records.
• 8. Provide ongoing knowledge transfer to strengthen internal operational capabilities.

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $55 – 70 per hour
The posted range is an estimate, the actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
