• Sets up administrator accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes performance, installs software, allocates storage.
• Interacts with users and vendors, recommends purchases, coordinates installation and backup recovery.

Position contingent upon contract award!

• Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May be assigned responsibility for the management of the systems administration function, including associated staff.

Qualifications

• A Senior labor category has over 10 years of experience and an MA/MS degree. A Senior labor category typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. A Senior labor category may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Position requires an active Security Clearance.

Pay Range: 163,000 - 193,000
