Amentum is seeking a Network and Cybersecurity Engineer to ensure the security, accreditation, and compliance of Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) environments for the Skywalker program. You will support IA activities, coordinate A&A and ATO, and implement cybersecurity best practices across the system lifecycle.

Requires TS/SCI with Poly, DoD/IC experience, and strong documentation skills. Office and field work with potential worldwide travel.

Purpose and Impact

Amentum/Secure Networking Solutions is seeking a Network and Cybersecurity Engineer to ensure the security, accreditation, and compliance of Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) environments of Amentum’s Skywalker program. The Network and Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for supporting Information Assurance (IA) activities, coordinating Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and Authority to Operate (ATO) efforts, and implementing cybersecurity best practices throughout the system lifecycle. Working closely with Government stakeholders and engineering teams, this position ensures systems are securely deployed, maintained, and operated in accordance with ICD 503, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and customer security requirements while supporting mission-critical operations. Experience writing clear, concise, and user-friendly technical and training manuals or similar documentation, including documents required for A&A IAW ICD 503, is required. This position is contingent upon award of contract, business needs, security clearance verification, and funding availability.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands

Office Setting, but may be required to install sensors and wiring, which requires climbing ladders and lifting up to 20 lbs.

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Experience supporting Information Assurance or cybersecurity activities within DoD and/or Intelligence Community environments.
• Knowledge of RMF, ICD 503, A&A, and ATO processes.
• Experience developing technical documentation and security accreditation artifacts.

Bachelor’s Degree with 5–7 years of experience; Master’s Degree with 3–5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Experience

Minimum of five (5) years supporting cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or systems engineering efforts for classified Government programs.

Compensation Details
