Job summary

rockITdata is seeking a Network & Computer Systems Admin to join our team onsite at Fort Shafter, Hawaii. This role will provide onsite technical support and assistance by deploying to field offices of a large federal program.

Responsibilities include network performance evaluations, ensuring reliability and security of critical IT infrastructure, system monitoring, patch management, and performance tuning across Windows, Linux, and VMware environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8 years of experience in systems administration for Windows, Linux, or VMware environments.
• Excellent knowledge of relevant operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Red Hat, CentOS) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, ESXi).
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and experienced with system monitoring, patch management, and performance tuning.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and maintains currency with industry trends and best practices.

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
