Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a Network Administrator to support the Air Force AFINC III program at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex. This full-time role focuses on maintaining WAN infrastructure, monitoring performance, and ensuring security compliance in a government environment.

You will analyze traffic, run automation scripts, coordinate with government leads, and document activities for audits. Candidates should have Security+ and CCNA, plus experience with routers, firewalls, and IDS,

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in network administration and support.
Must have Security+ and CCNA certifications; CCNP certification desired.
Experience with routers, load balancers, switches, and network hardware; assess infrastructure and recommend improvements.
Solid customer service and communication skills; US citizen with current Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

Analyze and simulate network traffic to aid in problem resolution or test updated configurations in lab environments.
Monitor system utilization and circuit bandwidth; report anomalies to Government team leads.
Escalate complex network issues to Senior Network Administrators.
Develop, execute, modify or remove scripts to automate tasks.
Review and document workload activities per incident or change request for auditing.
