Senior Network Administrator – Network Operations Center (NOC)
Location: Columbia, SC
Hours: 40 hours per week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to support a highly available enterprise network environment. This position will be part of the Network Operations Center (NOC) and will be responsible for maintaining the availability, security, reliability, and performance of critical network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands‑on experience supporting enterprise network technologies in a 24x7 operational environment, with demonstrated expertise in network monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, infrastructure maintenance, change management, and root cause analysis.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily operational health checks and network environment validation.
- Monitor network performance, availability, utilization, and capacity.
- Respond to and resolve complex network incidents, outages, and service disruptions.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis across enterprise network infrastructure.
- Administer, configure, upgrade, test, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related network technologies.
- Manage break/fix activities, operational maintenance, and network service requests.
- Execute infrastructure changes in accordance with established change management and production-control procedures.
- Analyze network configurations and make adjustments necessary to resolve performance and availability issues.
- Support network security by maintaining access controls, identifying vulnerabilities, and mitigating potential network-based threats.
- Address network vulnerabilities and compliance findings within required remediation timelines.
- Maintain network backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Generate and review network utilization, trending, performance, and error reports.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Coordinate with vendors and technology partners during troubleshooting, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
- Collaborate with network engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, application support, and other IT teams to maintain service availability and operational excellence.
- Participate in major incident response and support critical production issues as needed.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in network operations, network administration, infrastructure support, or a related enterprise networking environment.
- Experience supporting enterprise network technologies in a 24x7 production environment.
- Strong experience troubleshooting and resolving complex network incidents.
- Hands‑on experience with network monitoring, operational maintenance, infrastructure support, and performance management.
- Strong understanding of enterprise routing, switching, firewall, and load‑balancing technologies.
- Experience supporting network security, vulnerability remediation, access controls, backup/recovery, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and root cause analysis capabilities.
Preferred Experience
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and network environments.
- Experience supporting large‑scale, highly available network environments.
- Experience leading operational initiatives, major incident response, and infrastructure improvements.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical and operational documentation.
- Vendor networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education and relevant professional experience may also be considered.

Additional Requirements
- C2 eligibility is required.
- Candidates must be able to work onsite in Columbia, SC, Tuesday through Thursday.
