Job summary

The Town of Essex is seeking a Network Administrator to support and maintain computer systems, servers, network equipment, phones, desktops and peripherals across six sites. You will diagnose issues, perform upgrades, and provide end-user training.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, plus hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience and a valid driver's license. A background check is required.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in compute science or related field.
• Driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting and end-user support experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware and software across six sites.
• Provide end-user training and assistance as required.
• Support and maintain computer systems, servers, network equipment, phones, desktops and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot issues in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with IT Director and team on projects and disaster recovery planning.
