Job description

GCyber is seeking an Network Administrator to support a high profile DISA customer in their mission to improve collaboration and information sharing between defense and intelligence organizations. As the Network Administrator, you will ensure seamless network availability, security, and performance to meet user needs.

This position is a 2nd shift position with hours from 12pm - 8pm.

As the Network Administrator, you will:
  • Monitor and maintain network availability, perform necessary maintenance, and ensure reliable access for all system users.
  • Identify and mitigate network risks while managing data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Administer and configure computer networks, including hardware, software, and computing environments.
  • Implement and coordinate network security measures to safeguard data, software, and hardware.
  • Evaluate user requests for network upgrades or additions, providing technical guidance to optimize performance.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance and be eligible to obtain and maintain a CI/Poly.
  • BS in computer science or IT and 4+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
  • Hands-on experience performing network administration in a DoD environment.
  • Prior experience with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners preferred.
