Hecla Mining Company is seeking a Network Administrator to securely manage the company’s network infrastructure across all locations, based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The role emphasizes ITIL-aligned processes, standardization, and collaboration with Cybersecurity and Systems teams.

The ideal candidate will administer firewalls, switches, routing, wireless, WAN/SD-WAN, and VPN services, while driving documentation, runbooks, and continual improvement within an in-office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive network administration experience in multi-site environment.
• Experience administering firewalls, switching and routing, and wireless infrastructure.
• Process leadership and documentation of standards/runbooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain Hecla's network infrastructure across all locations.
• Administer enterprise firewalls, policies, and network security.
• Manage wireless infrastructure, including controllers and access points.
• Oversee WAN/SD-WAN connectivity and ISP circuits; coordinate with carriers.
• Manage remote access and VPN services for secure connectivity.
• Administer cloud networking, linking on-premises to cloud infrastructure.
• Establish and document standards, baselines, and runbooks across the network.
• Lead structured update/maintenance cycles for network hardware and software.
• Work within ITSM platform per ITIL-aligned processes.
• Support service desk with documented procedures and escalation paths.
• Collaborate with Systems Administration and Cybersecurity teams.
• Support OT networks at mine sites; assist with site operations.
• Monitor network performance and remediate issues proactively.
• Manage hardware lifecycle and decommissioning.
• Strengthen security/compliance including SOX ITGC alignment.
