Job summary

Velera, a premier payments CUSO and fintech provider, seeks a Network Administrator II to support and optimize our network infrastructure for clients. You will work with Development, Product, Production Support, and Build teams to ensure resiliency, security, and service quality.

Responsibilities include incident resolution, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and monitoring enhancements, with a remote-first culture and on-call rotation to assist clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • CCNA certification or equivalent experience.
  • Azure and/or AWS certifications desirable.
  • 2–5 years of relevant networking experience.

Our purpose: We accelerate partners’ success through innovative financial technology solutions and inspired service.**Shift:** Monday - Thursday | 7 am - 5:30 pm EST (4x10 shift) **The Opportunity**The **Network Administrator II** position will assist with the day to day operations of the network infrastructure that supports products and solutions to our Clients. Working with Development, Product, Production Support, and Build teams, the candidate will maintain, support, and optimize network infrastructure services to provide resiliency, stability, and meet the requirements of the business. **Day in the Life*** The Network Administrator II position’s primary responsibilities include the support and ongoing maintenance of the network infrastructure to ensure stability, resiliency, security, and services to our clients.* This position will involve working and resolving service requests, incidents, problem tasks, and changes related to the Velera Network Infrastructure.* Participates in network device hardware and software upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and incident/alert response in support of maintaining the security posture of our products and for compliance requirements.* Engage in operational run activities such as standardization initiatives, routine compliance tasks, capacity planning, and network monitoring enhancements.* Monitor and support client telecom circuits, working with various carriers and vendors on incident resolution and optimization.* Engage in triage/incident bridge calls and participate in an on-call rotation providing after hours and weekend network support as needed* High level of Customer Service experience working with external customers, vendors and internal business departments to provide a high level of customer satisfaction* Provide technical consulting services to the company’s internal and external customers **Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree preferred* Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or equivalent experience* Relevant Industry certifications including Azure and/or AWS or equivalent experience* 2-5 years relevant experience in subject matter* Solid experience configuring and maintaining Cisco routing/switching* Experience supporting layers 1-4 of the OSI model are highly preferred.* Support and management of security policies within a PCI compliant environment.* Utilize troubleshooting and analytical skills to participate in incident resolution and root cause determination* SD-WAN knowledge would be a plus* Knowledge of Wireshark, Solarwinds, ServiceNow, and/or ADO are helpful. **About Velera**At Velera, inclusion isn’t an initiative – it’s how we work.
