Job summary

Flyover Attractions, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator II – Network to own our network and connectivity across sites, from core switching to wireless and VPN.

You will work with the IT Director and site teams, with on-site presence required at Chicago, IL or Las Vegas, NV and a hybrid schedule. Your priorities include documenting the current network, closing security gaps, standardizing configurations, and ensuring secure, reliable, and performant connectivity across locations, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years in network administration or engineering.
• Hands-on with enterprise switching and routing (VLANs, OSPF/BGP or static routing, QoS).
• Firewall administration and VPN configuration.
• Enterprise wireless design and administration; network monitoring tools.
• Preferred: SD-WAN; Meraki/Aruba; cloud networking; scripting/automation; CCNA/CCNP.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, switching, and routing across multiple sites.
• Administer firewalls, VPNs, and network security controls.
• Deploy and manage enterprise wireless (controllers, access points, SSIDs, capacity planning).
• Monitor network health and availability; set up alerting; respond to incidents and outages.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, IP address management, and change records.
• Partner with vendors and ISPs on circuits and hardware; manage refresh and capacity planning.
• Serve as the network SME within the IT team; define standards and evaluate new technologies.
• Handle on-site Level 1 tasks up to about 4 hours per week; remote support is handled by broader IT team.
