Job summary

The Wright-Patt Credit Union Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator II to oversee in-house networks, MPLS/SD-WAN, SAN storage, and server infrastructure.

You will ensure data integrity through backups and robust security measures, while planning and optimizing complex IT environments. Responsibilities include 2nd tier support for network and PC issues, SAN administration, vendor management, and leading technology projects as assigned.

• Experience in network and system administration (physical and virtual) with policy adherence.
• Ability to provide 2nd tier support for LAN/MPLS/SD-WAN and PC issues.
• Comfort administering SAN and backup storage solutions; data integrity focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform network and system administration (physical and virtual) following policies and controls; report gaps to leadership.
• Provide hardware and software technical support to all users; deliver 2nd line LAN/MPLS/SD-WAN and PC assistance.
• Administer Storage Area Network (SAN) and backup storage solutions.
• Manage 3rd party professional services vendors.
• Manage technological projects as assigned.

Job description

The Network Administrator II is responsible for the in-house Local, MPLS/SD-WAN, and Storage Area Networks. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network, storage, and server hardware, software, and associated communication links. Also responsible for integrity of the data that resides on the network, storage, and server equipment by ensuring proper back-ups and that security measures are put in place.

• 1) Performing network and system administration (physical and virtual). Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated.(30%)
• 2) Providing hardware and software technical support to all users and providing 2nd tier support for LAN/MPLS/SD-WAN problems, system communication problems, and PC support. (30%)
• 3) Administration of the Storage Area Network (SAN) and backup storage solution (20%)
• 4) Managing 3rd party professional services vendors. (10%)
• 5) Manage technological projects as assigned. (10%)
