Network Administrator, Bureau of IT Infrastructure and Support Services

The Division of Information Technology's mission is to promote and protect the health of all New Yorkers through innovative technology and accessible health information. We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support our infrastructure and cabling systems, working collaboratively with various teams, vendors, and agencies to maintain and enhance our network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure network availability.
• Implement network upgrades and expansions.
• Participate in security audits and implement security measures.
• Collaborate with IT teams for seamless network operations and integration.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with network operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
