General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Network Administrator Associate for the Base Infrastructure Modernization program at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on Oahu, Hawaii.

You will join the on-site team maintaining the base network, coordinating with Air Force customers during modernization efforts. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and secure enterprise network infrastructure, with readiness for after-hours maintenance and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required and US citizenship.
• 3+ years of hands-on network experience in enterprise, DoD, or military environments.
• Current DoD 8140 qualification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot switching, routing, and access on enterprise network equipment and close tickets within SLAs.
• Apply STIGs, handle vulnerability findings, and keep device configurations current and backed up.
• Plan, document, and execute approved changes during maintenance windows, including after-hours as needed.

GDIT is hiring a Network Administrator Associate for the Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) program at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) on Oahu, Hawaii. You'll join the site team that operates and maintains the base network, working side by side with our Air Force customer while the base goes through a major network modernization.

What Your Week Looks Like

Most days start with health checks. You'll work through the daily O&M checklist, review monitoring and alerts, and check the incident queue for anything that came in overnight. From there you'll pick up tickets, troubleshoot switching, routing, and access problems on enterprise network equipment, and work each one to closure within the contract's service level targets. When a problem is beyond you, you **escalate** early and with good notes.
A steady part of the job is compliance. You'll help apply STIGs, work findings from vulnerability scans, and keep device configurations current and backed up. Every change goes through a formal process. You'll help plan the work, document it, and carry out approved changes during scheduled maintenance windows, some of which fall on nights and weekends.
You won't spend the whole day at a desk. The team runs preventive maintenance inspections in telecom rooms across the base, supports installs and upgrades tied to the modernization, and works with vendors when hardware fails. You'll also take a turn in the team's on call rotation.

What We Expect From You

We want someone dependable who is careful around production equipment. That means following change control every time, documenting what you did so the next person can pick it up, and communicating clearly with the military and civilian customers who rely on this network for their mission. You don't need to know everything on day one. You do need to own your tickets, ask good questions, and keep learning. People who do well here grow into senior administrator and lead roles.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED, REQUIRED:

• Active Secret clearance and US citizenship
• Current DoD 8140 qualification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent)
• 3+ years of hands on network experience in an enterprise, DoD, or military environment
• Working knowledge of switching, VLANs, basic routing, and TCP/IP, and comfort working at the command line
• Exposure to STIG compliance and patching
• Willingness to work on site at JBPHH, work in telecom rooms across the base, and support after hours maintenance windows and on call duty

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• NOC or SOC experience
• Experience with ACAS or Nessus vulnerability scanning
• Hands on Juniper Junos or Cisco IOS experience
• Experience working incidents in an ITSM ticketing system
• CCNA, JNCIA, ITIL 4 Foundation, or a DoD 8140 advanced certification such as CompTIA SecurityX
• Military cyber transport or network background

The likely salary range for this position is $71,400 - $96,600. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
