Responsibilities

  • Day to day operation, management, scheduling, organizing, documenting, preventive and predictive maintenance, expansion, purchasing recommendations for server OS, server infrastructure, network infrastructure, wireless infrastructure, phone system, firewall, filters, anti-virus, backup and restores.
  • Install, certify and troubleshoot campus and remote-campus network cabling infrastructure and related LAN equipment/software.
  • Work with vendor to resolve hardware, OS, application issues; research and test solutions and implement.
  • Assign, prioritize, schedule and complete trouble tickets.
  • Help train and guide the Helpdesk staff as appropriate.
  • Define and enforce network security, management, installation procedures.
  • Pursue additional IT certifications.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

General Responsibilities:Complete the following duties and responsibilities with very little direct supervision. The Network Administrator is responsible for the ongoing management and operation of the CEF network and server resources. They work very closely with others in the information Technology department to insure the availability and reliability of the CEF data/voice networks as well as the various enterprise-wide and work-group systems and software. Based on the dynamic nature of the job, the duties will often be changed or modified to match the technology and current project workloads.Realizes the importance of the CEF Culture Points and commits to upholding them personally and in the ministry of CEF(The importance of Godly leadership at every level, of the spiritual welfare of our workers, of prayer as our foundation, of evangelizing children, of a clear and Biblical presentation of the Gospel and of a commitment to excellence, for the glory of God).Specific Responsibilities:• Day to day operation, management, scheduling, organizing, documenting, preventive and predictive maintenance, expansion, purchasing recommendations for the following areas; server OS, server infrastructure, network infrastructure, wireless infrastructure, phone system, firewall, filters, anti-virus, backup and restores.• Install, certify and troubleshoot campus and remote-campus network cabling infrastructure, including a wide variety of local area network equipment and software.• Works with vendor to resolve hardware, operating system, application issues; researches and tests possible solutions and implements solutions.• Assign, prioritize, schedule and work trouble tickets to completion professionally and promptly.• Help train, mentor, and guide the Helpdesk staff as appropriate.• Define and enforce network security, management, installation procedures.• Continue to gain additional IT certifications.• All other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.Essential Job Functions:• Work should be accomplished with a positive attitude.• The employee should exhibit goal-oriented and self-motivated work habits.• Work area, both personal and public, should be kept neat, clean and organized.I have read my job description and received a copy.
