Description

Leidos is seeking a Network Administrator in Fort Belvoir, VA to support large-scale migration and operations on a high-profile DOD contract. The I3TS program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable DTRA’s Information Management & Technology Directorate (ITD) to modernize and innovate IT services and mission capabilities for internal and external partners in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

The Network Administrator will support planning, designing, and evaluating network components. Responsibilities include providing specifications for network architecture, evaluating new technologies, performing needs assessments, and supporting monitoring, installation, modification, testing, and servicing of network equipment.

The primary focus includes managing internal projects, supporting time-sensitive initiatives, and activities related to ITIL service management (problem management, incident management, service requests, etc.), operations management, configuration/change management, and service level agreements (SLAs).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and improve SOPs in a matrixed organization supporting the prime contractor and CMS, managing a team of Network & Firewall Administrators.
  • Work with Cisco technologies, including recent experience with Cisco ACI.
  • Manage F5 Load balancers.
  • Access data center hardware via console serial connections and use crash carts for servers.
  • Handle rack/stack gear and run copper/fiber cables.
  • Use ticketing/change management systems like ServiceNow.
  • Follow strict change control procedures and guide others accordingly.
  • Mentor and guide junior network administrators.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills for change procedures and management updates.
  • IT certifications such as A+, CCNA, CCNP, Security+, CISSP, etc.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with OSI Layers, Security, Storage, VMWare, and System/Network Administration.
  • Familiarity with tools like SharePoint, Skype, Slack, ServiceNow, Wikis, MS Project.
  • Certifications in Cloud, Cisco CCNP, ITIL, PMP, Dell Versa.
