Job summary

Liberty Energy is seeking an experienced IT Network Engineer to provide operational support for corporate network infrastructure across local and remote sites. You will design, install, and maintain network hardware and software, while driving improvements and ensuring security and compliance.

The role emphasizes teamwork, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems/Industrial Engineering, or related field; professional experience may substitute.
• 5 years of networking experience.
• Deep understanding of network and routing protocols, device configuration, and enterprise wireless systems.
• Ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot software and hardware on networking equipment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operational support, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of corporate network across sites.
• Determines network requirements, designs solutions, installs and integrates new or replacement network hardware and software.
• Initiates strategic discussions with IT management and co-workers for carrying out Liberty mission.
• May supervise IT Support Technicians’ work.
• Trains IT Support Technicians on how to troubleshoot basic or common network issues.
• Documents and maintains troubleshooting manual for IT Support Technicians’ reference purposes.
• Monitors network performance and responds to network incidents and outages.
• Ensures network security and compliance.
• Works with IT Architects to aid in design, implementation, and continual improvement of infrastructure.

Job description

Provides operational, project, and initiative support for all aspects of enterprise network infrastructure. This includes service request fulfillment, incident response, and routine maintenance and auditing. This position also requires the ability to identify and effectively communicate opportunities for improvement and reducing technical debt

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems/Industrial Engineering, or related field. Professional experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
• 5 years of networking experience.
• Deep understanding and operational knowledge of network and routing protocols, network device configuration and programming, and enterprise wireless systems.
• Ability to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot software and hardware on networking equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication, organizational, and analytical skills required.
• Ability and desire to work in a team environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operational support, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of corporate network and network devices across local and remote sites.
• Determines network requirements, designs solutions, installs and integrates new or replacement network hardware and software.
• Initiates strategic discussions and shares thoughtful and innovative ideas with IT management and co-workers for carrying out Liberty mission.
• May assign, direct, guide and supervise the IT Support Technicians’ work.
• Trains IT Support Technicians on how to troubleshoot basic or common network issues.
• Documents, edits, and maintains lower-level troubleshooting manual for IT Support Technicians’ reference purposes.
• Successfully completing day-to-day work assignments independently without supervision.
• Monitors network performance and responds to network incidents and outages.
• Ensures network security and compliance.
• Works with IT Architects to aid in design, implementation, and continual improvement of infrastructure.
