Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a Network Administrator to support and improve our enterprise networking across campus, branch, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will provide Tier I/II assistance for LAN/WAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and cloud networking, ensuring secure, resilient services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4-5 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure and network operations.
• Experience with Cisco enterprise networking environments and related technologies.
• Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and strong troubleshooting/root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I/II operational support for enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and Internet connectivity services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance and reliability issues.
• Install, configure, and support Cisco networking infrastructure including Catalyst switching and Meraki environments.
• Perform network refreshes, lifecycle management, and upgrades.
• Maintain network configurations, VLANs, routing, wireless infra, and IP address management.
• Support security technologies including firewalls, MFA integrations, segmentation, and secure remote access.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams on vulnerability remediation and incident response.
• Utilize observability platforms to proactively identify performance issues.
• Analyze packet captures, NetFlow data, latency, and application performance metrics.

Job description

Overview

The Network Administrator is responsible for the operational support, administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement
of ABM's enterprise networking infrastructure across campus, branch, cloud, and hybrid environments. This role provides Tier I and
Tier II support for enterprise network services, including routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and cloud
networking technologies.

The Network Administrator works closely with Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Cloud Operations, Service Desk, and business
stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient, and highly available network services. The role supports network modernization initiatives,
automation programs, observability platforms, and Zero Trust security objectives while maintaining operational excellence and
customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier I/Tier II operational support for enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and Internet connectivity services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance, availability, and reliability issues.
• Install, configure, maintain, and support Cisco networking infrastructure including Catalyst switching, wireless controllers, and Meraki environments.
• Perform network refreshes, hardware replacements, software upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
• Maintain network configurations, VLANs, routing protocols, wireless infrastructure, and IP address management.
• Support network security technologies including firewalls, NAC solutions, MFA integrations, segmentation, and secure remote access.
• Partner with Cybersecurity teams on vulnerability remediation, incident response, and infrastructure hardening initiatives.
• Utilise monitoring and observability platforms to proactively identify and remediate performance issues.
• Analyze packet captures, NetFlow data, latency issues, and application performance metrics.
• Support automation initiatives using Ansible, Terraform, Python, REST APIs, and Git-based workflows.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, standards, and operating procedures.
• Participate in project implementations, maintenance windows, and on-call support rotations.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

• 4-5 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure and network operations.
• Experience supporting Cisco enterprise networking environments.
• Experience with enterprise ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience.

Licenses:

• Preferable, but not required: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.

Experience:

• Experience with Cisco ISE, Catalyst Center, Cisco Meraki, Cisco DNA, ThousandEyes, or Cisco Secure technologies.
• Experience supporting Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud networking environments.
• Experience with SD-WAN technologies.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms such as SolarWinds, LogicMonitor, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, 7SIGNAL, or similar solutions.
• Experience with Wireshark, NetFlow, and packet analysis tools.
• Experience with network automation technologies including Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
• Experience with Wi‑Fi 6/6E environments and Infoblox DDI solutions.

Other:

• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture, SASE, and Secure Service Edge (SSE).
• Strong analytical, communication, customer service, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to support after-hours maintenance activities and participate in on-call rotations.

Licenses:

• Preferable, but not required: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE additional advanced Cisco certification

• Hybrid or remote work environment, based on business requirements.
• Minimal travel required.
• Ability to support scheduled maintenance windows, evenings, weekends, and on‑call rotations as needed
