Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator for a temporary position to support a specific project with a duration of 6 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining network systems, adept at responding to network-related tickets and escalations. This position will be a remote and 6 month contract . Candidates must be available to work MST or PST hours.
What You’ll Do
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Respond promptly to network-related tickets and escalations, providing effective solutions.
Configure and manage small-business class firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve network issues.
Implement network changes and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to optimize network performance.
Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
What You’ll Need
Required:
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with small-business class firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
Strong experience with Ubiquiti and Fortigate products including FortiCloud and/or FortiManager.
Proficiency in network configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of network security principles and practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, while maintaining collaborative team relationships.
Preferred:
Working experience with Auvik, N-able, and ITGlue.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent.
Experience with network monitoring tools and software.
Familiarity with cloud networking solutions.
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards.
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor.
The pay range for this position is $47.00- $53.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include medical coverage as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
