Job summary

Allied Consultants, Inc. in Austin seeks an experienced Network Administrator to support Texas State Agencies. You will design, implement, and maintain secure, high-availability networks across multiple locations, focusing on data/voice networks and performance monitoring.

Applicants should have CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, hands-on Aruba equipment, cloud networking, SAN, IPsec tunnels, and virtualization experience. We offer competitive pay, medical/life/401(k) benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading the administration of an Enterprise network across multiple locations.
• Experience implementing and maintaining site-to-site/IPSEC tunneling.
• Experience configuring and managing a variety of network monitoring tools.
• Experience administering SAN architecture networks, such as SAN switches/routers/bridges with iSCSI, FCoE, AoE, FCP.
• Experience administering cloud networking.
• Experience with networks in a virtualized environment.
• Experience with Aruba network devices.
• Preferred: coordinating/using vendor provided support.
• Preferred: Aruba ClearPass and Aruba Central.

Responsibilities

• Performs senior-level network administration for the client network infrastructure.
• Plan, design, monitor, and integrate system components for data/voice networks and assess potential enhancements.
• Install and maintain networks and related hardware; provide Tier III support for network service requests and incidents.
• Operate under limited supervision with initiative and a security mindset.

Responsibilities

Performs highly complex or advanced (senior-level) network administration work to the client network infrastructure. Work involves planning, designing, monitoring, and integrating system components for data/voice networks, existing network hardware and software; and evaluating potential network enhancements; as well as installing, maintaining, or overseeing the installation and maintenance of networks and network related hardware. This position also acts as Tier III support for network related service requests and incidents. Works under limited or minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.All work must be done with a security mindset.

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must have CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
• A strong desire to grow and advance within an organization with an opportunistic landscape
• Preference is for candidates to be temp to hire eligible.
