Description

Leidos is seeking a Network Admin Lead to support large-scale migration and operations on a high-profile DOD contract. The I3TS program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable DTRA’s Information Management & Technology Directorate (ITD) to consolidate, modernize, and innovate IT services and mission capabilities for internal and external partners worldwide.

The Network Admin Lead will be responsible for overall network engineering support, including planning, designing, and evaluating network components. Duties include providing specifications for network architecture, evaluating new technologies, performing needs assessments, and supporting the installation, modification, testing, and servicing of network equipment.

The primary focus includes managing internal operations projects, driving time-sensitive initiatives, supporting ITIL service activities, and ensuring successful completion of tasks related to operations management, configuration/change management, and SLAs. The role also involves leveraging tools like ServiceNow to improve team prioritization and signal clarity.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce SOPs within a matrixed organization supporting the prime contractor and CMS. Manage a team of Network & Firewall Administrators.
• Experience with Cisco technologies, especially Cisco ACI.
• Experience with F5 Load balancers.
• Hands-on experience with physical connections to data center hardware via console serial and using crash carts.
• Experience with rack/stack gear and cabling (copper/fiber).
• Proficiency with ticketing and change management systems like ServiceNow.
• Follow strict change control processes and guide others accordingly.
• Mentor junior network administrators.

Basic Qualifications

• BSc degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or MSc with 10+ years; Doctorate in a technical domain is a plus.
• Experience managing diverse IT infrastructure teams, preferably for the US government.
• Excellent communication skills for change procedures and management updates.
• Ability to manage performance metrics and conform to SLAs.
• Willingness to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSI Layers, Network Security.
• Tools: Ansible, Remedy/ServiceNow, SolarWinds.
• Certifications: Cisco CCNP, CCIE, ITIL, PMP, Palo Alto.

Pay Range

$112,450.00 - $203,275.00
