Job summary

UST is hiring a Specialist I - Cloud Infrastructure Services in Oregon to administer and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN, VPN, and data center networks. You will monitor performance, apply security controls, and coordinate with vendors for incident resolution and projects.

The role requires 7+ years in network administration, strong TCP/IP knowledge, and experience with Cisco/Juniper/Aruba, plus cloud networking in Azure and AWS. A bachelor’s degree is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking or related field.
  • 7+ years of network administration and enterprise infrastructure experience.
  • CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN and data center network.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot and ensure maximum uptime.
  • Implement security policies, firewall rules, and access controls.
  • Support routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, QoS, NAT and DNS/DHCP.
  • Coordinate with vendors, ISPs and IT teams for incidents and projects.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and data center operations.

You Are

UST is searching for a Network Admin who will administer and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and data center network infrastructure.

The Opportunity
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure maximum uptime.
  • Implement network security policies, access controls, segmentation, and firewall rules.
  • Manage network upgrades, firmware updates, patching, and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
  • Support routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and QoS.
  • Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, and internal IT teams for incident resolution and project execution.
  • Maintain network monitoring, ing, backup, and disaster recovery processes.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What You Need
  • Strong experience in enterprise network administration and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, or equivalent networking technologies.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and network security.
  • Experience with firewall management, IDS/IPS, and secure remote access solutions.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Wireshark.
  • Knowledge of wireless networking technologies and enterprise Wi-Fi deployments.
  • Experience with cloud networking concepts in Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Desired Skills:
  • Experience with SD-WAN, network automation, and scripting tools such as Python or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Exposure to data center operations and structured cabling standards.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise change management procedures.
  • Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in network administration and enterprise infrastructure support.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, Palo Alto PCCSA/PCNSA, or equivalent are preferred.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico. Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
