Description

Network Architecture:

• Knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPN, and Cloud.
• Experience with network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless, and cloud.
• Understanding and application of common network protocols

Network Security:

• Experience with firewall policy configurations, VPNs, remote access, and other security protocols.
• Network security practices include vulnerability assessments, mitigation, and remediation.

Requirements

NetDev:

• Basic understanding of scripting for networking.
• Experience with Bash, Python, or similar
• Ability to write code for basic functions like reading from/writing to a file and interacting with an API endpoint to complete tasks.
• Basic understanding of Git/GitHub processes.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed remotely and the salary range will be $130,000/yr to $135,000/yr and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.

Job responsibilities

Network Monitoring, Logging, and Troubleshooting:

• Network monitoring/alerting tooling such as DataDog or equivalent.
• Logging tools such as Splunk or an equivalent.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in identifying and resolving network issues promptly.
• Ability to comprehend output data from monitoring tools to identify sources of trouble

Wireless Networking:

• Understanding of wireless networking standards.
• Experience with configuring and managing wireless access points and controllers.

Cloud Networking:

• Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid cloud environment concepts.
• Experience with cloud services such as Compute, Firewall, Security Groups, VPC, and Transit Gateway
