Job Responsibilities
  1. Setup and configuration of all network (LAN/WAN) equipment
  2. Verification of functionality of all equipment
  3. Responsible for job from start to finish
  4. Preplanning outages
  5. Working with local P&C Oversight/Engineering/Operations to determine and mitigate reduced or inadequate protection situations
  6. Planning and scheduling SCADA checkout
  7. Other job duties include electrical maintenance and testing of equipment from the 480 volt level to the 345 kV level:
  8. Problem solving
  9. Assisting field service teams during maintenance, shut-downs, startups, and testing projects
  10. Testing complex relays, including but not limited to distance, directional power, reverse power, negative sequence, differential, motor, and generator protection. Relay examples include GE L90, GE-B30/B90, GE-T35/F35/C30.
Software Requirements
  1. SEL 5010
  2. GE URPC (Enervista)
  3. SG Config
  4. Doble Protection Suite
  5. Hyper Terminal or Terra Term
  6. Any other software that might be necessary to complete all commissioning related activities
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation $50-$85 per hour depending on experience and certification level. Sign on bonus (>$10k) for NETA 2, 3 or 4 certification. Insurance, 401k with company matching, vacation and holiday pay.

Certification requirements: NETA level 2, 3 or 4 (or equivalent skills/experience to become NETA Certified will be considered).
