Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA Level III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on high voltage power systems. You will lead testing campaigns, analyze data, and develop engineering reports for critical infrastructure like data centers and utilities.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification and in-good-standing status.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Proficiency with protective relay schemes and coordination.
• Ability to read one-line, three-line diagrams, schematics and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems and equipment up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, and microprocessor-based).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and circuit breakers.
• Interpret and analyze test results; author comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions.
• Mentor and train Level I/II technicians in the field.
• Serve as technical lead on multi-discipline project teams.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements.
