Cognizant is seeking a .Net Technical Lead with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise to drive cloud-native design and delivery of scalable applications. You will mentor teams, align with stakeholders, and ensure secure, high-quality solutions across the SDLC.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of hands-on .NET/C# development with APIs/microservices and strong leadership experience in a distributed, Agile environment. This remote role accepts applicants in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field is required.
• 8+ years of strong hands-on .NET/C# experience with backend services.
• Proven technical leadership as Technical Lead or similar role.
• Strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience for cloud-native apps.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale solutions and APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and mentoring teams.

About the role

As a . Net Technical Lead w/ Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , you will play a key role in designing, building, and delivering scalable cloud-based solutions that support critical business initiatives. You will provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver innovative, secure, and high-quality solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong .Net and GCP expertise with technical leadership experience and a passion for driving engineering excellence in a collaborative environment.

In this role, you will:

• Provide hands‑on technical leadership for.NET/C# applications, APIs, and microservices deployed in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment.

Partner with business, product, and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions aligned with architecture and engineering best practices.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams throughout project execution.

• Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and product teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Drive engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing strategies, architecture standards, and CI/CD automation.

• Design secure, highly available, and resilient enterprise applications.

• Support cloud transformation, modernization, and application migration initiatives.

• Identify project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.

• Promote Agile delivery methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

• Contribute to solution architecture, technical roadmaps, and strategic technology decisions.

What you need to have to be considered

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Prior experience in a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or similar leadership role.

• 8+ years of Strong hands-on experience with .NET/C# application development, including backend services, REST APIs, and microservices, combined with technical leadership experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and cloud-native application development.

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions.

• Knowledge of software development best practices and modern engineering methodologies.

• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring developers.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working within Agile development environments.

These will help you stand out

• Active Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification(s).

• Experience with .NET technologies.

• Experience with Angular and modern front-end frameworks.

• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging cloud technologies.

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Background in application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

• Experience with containerization and cloud automation technologies.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until October 30 th 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $ 81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
