Job summary

AVER, LLC is seeking a SQL Server Data Integration Developer to support data-processing reporting applications for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). You will analyze incoming data files, prepare and import data into SQL Server, and modify existing C# Windows Services built on .NET Framework 4.8 to maintain established Microsoft technologies.

You will troubleshoot data issues in MS SQL and ensure reliable database imports to improve reporting for a prominent OCIO at DHS.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSMS.
• Experience reading, modifying, and maintaining C# applications on .NET Framework (preferably 4.8).
• Experience with data imports, ETL, file conversions, or batch data processing.

Responsibilities

• Convert and standardize source files into approved CSV formats for database imports.
• Create and modify SQL Server tables using approved designs.
• Modify and maintain existing C# Windows Services using .NET Framework 4.8 to automate data-loading processes.
• Configure and troubleshoot SQL Server bulk imports, data transformations, and processing errors.
• Validate source data, converted files, and SQL Server results for accuracy.

AVER is seeking a SQL Server Data Integration Developer to support established data-processing reporting applications for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Analyze incoming data files, prepare and import data into SQL Server, and modify existing C# Windows Services built on .NET Framework 4.8 and perform data integration and application maintenance. This role will not require hands on modern .Net web application development, instead you will troubleshoot data issues in MS SQL and maintaining established Microsoft technologies utilizing C#, .NET Framework 4.8, Windows Services, and SQL Server. Maintain and adapt existing code, process incoming datasets, and support reliable database imports for improved reporting functionality in a prominent OCIO at the Department of Homeland Security. Responsibilities Include:

• Analyze incoming CSV, Excel, HTML, and other structured or semi-structured data files to identify fields, data types, relationships, and quality issues.
• Convert and standardize source files into approved CSV formats for database imports.
• Create and modify SQL Server tables using approved database designs.
• Modify and maintain existing C# Windows Services using .NET Framework 4.8 to automate data-loading processes.
• Configure and troubleshoot SQL Server bulk imports, data transformations, and processing errors.
• Validate source data, converted files, and SQL Server results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Review code and data-processing procedures and provide technical guidance to other developers.
• Maintain documentation and follow established client development standards and security restrictions.

Experience Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Experience reading, modifying, and maintaining C# applications using .NET Framework, preferably 4.8
• Experience with data imports, ETL processes, file conversions, or batch data processing
• Experience analyzing and transforming CSV, Excel, or other structured data files
• Ability to troubleshoot database and application-processing issues
• Experience working with Visual Studio and established Microsoft development environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently within defined technical procedures.

Location:

• Washington, DC
• ON SITE- 5 days per week

Security Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance, active Top Secret preferred
