Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a.NET Lead in Alpharetta, GA for hybrid work. Lead architecture, design scalable cloud-native platforms, and drive AI-enabled solution development while guiding DevOps and security practices.

You will mentor teams, shape governance, and collaborate with architects, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver modern applications and AI-driven capabilities. A strong background in .NET and cloud architecture is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience designing and delivering enterprise applications with Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Proven expertise in application architecture, microservices, API design, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns, including event-driven architectures and CQRS.
• Experience implementing DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and automated deployments.
• Knowledge of security principles, secure coding, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership guiding technical teams and enterprise technology standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical solution including .NET service decomposition, API design, cloud architecture, and integration patterns.

• Enable and support MLOps capabilities, including model deployment, monitoring, and drift detection.
• Ensure security, compliance, and quality across the software development lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance across multiple initiatives.

About the role

As a.NET Lead, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native enterprise solutions that drive digital transformation and engineering excellence. You will be a valued member of the technology leadership team and work collaboratively with architects, engineering teams, DevOps specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver modern application platforms and AI-enabled solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Lead technical solution, including .NET service decomposition, API design, cloud architecture, and integration patterns.
• Design and implement scalable solutions using Azure or AWS cloud platforms, leveraging modern architectural approaches such as event-driven architecture and CQRS.
• Establish and drive technology governance standards, ensuring architecture consistency, quality, scalability, and maintainability across applications.
• Champion AI-enabled solution development, including agent-based application architectures and emerging AI technologies.
• Guide engineering excellence through DevOps best practices, CI/CD strategy, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing, and deployment frameworks.

• Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to development teams across multiple initiatives.

What you need to have to be considered

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10 years of extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Proven expertise in application architecture, microservices, API design, and distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern integration patterns, including event-driven architectures and CQRS.
• Experience implementing DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployment frameworks.
• Knowledge of application security principles, secure coding practices, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership experience guiding technical teams and driving enterprise technology standards.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
