Position Summary

The onsite .NET Developer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software applications that support the operations of a growing aerospace manufacturing company. This hands-on role works closely with leadership, internal departments, and technical team members to develop practical technology solutions that improve business processes, manufacturing operations, data visibility, and organizational efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative and adaptable developer who is comfortable working in a small-team environment where priorities can evolve quickly. This individual will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from understanding business needs and designing solutions to development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.

As the company and technology team continue to grow, this position offers opportunities to take on increased technical responsibility, including application architecture and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Support
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain business applications using modern .NET technologies, including C# and .NET Core/.NET.
  • Develop and support web-based applications and internal tools that improve operational efficiency and support business needs.
  • Build and maintain RESTful services and APIs to support applications, system integrations, and future technology initiatives.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and reliable code following established development standards.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues across the software stack.
Business Systems & Integration
  • Work closely with internal departments to understand business processes and translate operational needs into effective software solutions.
  • Support integration efforts between internally developed applications, business systems, and other technology platforms.
  • Work with ERP-related data and systems as needed in partnership with the ERP Administrator and other internal stakeholders.
  • Develop solutions that support manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and other business functions as appropriate.
  • Assist with improving data accessibility, reporting capabilities, and workflow automation.
Database & Technical Development
  • Develop and maintain database solutions using SQL Server or similar relational database technologies.
  • Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and other database components as required.
  • Help ensure the reliability, performance, and maintainability of internally developed applications.
  • Support the modernization of existing applications and systems as business and technology needs evolve.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate with leadership, technical team members, and internal users to prioritize projects and resolve technical challenges.
  • Participate in technical discussions involving application design, architecture, integrations, and future technology direction.
  • Document applications, processes, and technical solutions to support long-term maintainability.
  • Share knowledge and provide informal guidance to other developers or technical team members as the organization grows.
  • Stay current with relevant technologies and identify practical opportunities to improve existing systems and development practices.
Growth & Technical Leadership
  • Take on increasing responsibility for application design and technical decision-making as experience and organizational needs grow.
  • Contribute to the development of application architecture and technology standards.
  • Support the continued growth and development of the company's internal software and technology capabilities.
  • Potentially grow into a Lead Developer, Software Architect, or other technical leadership role based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Strong experience developing applications using C# and modern .NET technologies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining production-level software applications.
  • Experience developing web applications and/or web-based business systems.
  • Experience with relational databases, including SQL Server or similar technologies.
  • Ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
  • Experience developing or supporting RESTful APIs and system integrations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a small team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
  • Experience with Blazor or similar modern web application frameworks.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, or other operationally complex environments.
  • Experience integrating software applications with ERP or other enterprise business systems.
  • Familiarity with on-premises infrastructure and cloud-based technologies.
  • Experience with application modernization or legacy system migration.
  • Experience working in a small or growing company environment.
  • Familiarity with software development best practices, version control, code reviews, and automated testing.
  • Interest in cloud technologies, automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging business technologies.
