We are seeking a.NET Developer (Claims/Eligibility) to take the lead in analyzing, designing, configuring, and modifying inbound and outbound EDI feeds, includingX12 EDIsuch as 834, 835, and 837 transaction sets. The role also includes developing and maintaining Microsoft.NET-based backend systems.This position is full-time, a 6–12-month W2 contract, and remote in the US.
Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, only US Citizens and Green Card Holders/Permanent residents will be considered for this role.
What You’ll Do
Take a lead role in analyzing, designing, configuring, and modifying inbound and outbound EDI feeds, includingX12 EDIsuch as 834, 835, and 837 transaction sets, along with proprietary feeds for specific vendors
Develop and maintain Microsoft.NET-based backend systems, including scheduled console applications, web applications, andMSMQ-based messaging applications
Collaborate with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand business requirements and design quality technical solutions, focusing on innovative solutions for complex business needs
Provide technical support, including release implementations, on-call, and 24x7 support when necessary
Ensure compliance with all the client’s IT standards, policies, and procedures
Lead and participate in project teams in various roles, such as Developer, Technical Lead, and Project Manager, based on experience
Communicate effectively with team members, customers, partners, and management, including conducting complex technical walkthroughs and reporting project status
Perform other duties as assigned or requested
What You’ll Need
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development
Recent experience in the healthcare or health insurance industry (claims or eligibility experience specifically)
Demonstrated experience inroot cause analysisandissue resolution
Strong understanding ofX12 EDItransaction sets such as 834, 835, 837
Proficiency with the.NET framework,C#, andSQL Server
Experience with messaging-based technologies such asMSMQ
Knowledge of source control solutions such asTFVCorGit
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field
Experience with enterprise application integration middleware such as Microsoft BizTalk for message brokering of EDI data
Proficiency in design and development ofSSIS packagesfor data integration and migration, andSSRS reportingsolutions forSQL Server
Familiarity with designing and developing.NET-basedRESTful APIsandweb services
Experience in developingAngular,React, or other single-page web applicationframeworks
Engineering experience with GitLab/Azure DevOpsCI/CD pipelines

Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
