Job summary

ACS Consultancy Services in Albany, NY is seeking a .NET Developer with 16+ years of experience to join a hybrid, 30-month contract. You will develop and maintain complex n-tier web applications using ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core MVC, and modern client-side tech, while integrating SOA services and ensuring HIPAA data handling compliance.

You’ll work with Oracle databases (PL/SQL), WCF/SOAP/REST APIs, and CI tools (Git/TFS).

Qualifications

• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio to develop complex n-tier web applications using the ASP.NET MVC framework.
• Experience developing and maintaining web applications using modern client-side technologies such as HTML5, AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS.
• Experience developing and maintaining web applications using C# and modern programming principles, including object-oriented design, scalability, maintainability, the single-responsibility principle, and application security standards.
• Experience with Oracle database design and modeling, PL/SQL coding and debugging, stored procedures, packages, indexes, triggers, table creation, and SQL tools for writing and testing queries and manipulating data.
• Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) application integration, including developing secure .NET web services using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), SOAP/REST APIs, message and queue processing, and/or Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technologies.
• Experience with the ASP.NET Core MVC framework.
• Experience interpreting Visual Basic 6 (VB6) code and understanding application structures.
• Experience with automated unit testing and using Git and Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2010 or later for development activities and code repository management.
• Experience interpreting and analyzing complex business requirements, extracting core use cases, and implementing application logic to meet business needs.
• Experience coding and maintaining applications containing healthcare data protected under HIPAA, including Protected Health Information (PHI).
