Job summary

Sligo Software Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced on-site software engineer to support key state projects. The role focuses on implementing EHR interfaces, MVC/.NET development, and data integration with Oracle databases.

You will work on complex business logic while mentoring junior staff. The position requires extensive ASP.NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, and Oracle expertise, plus strong SOA experience with WCF and REST APIs, and a commitment to security and quality in health-domain

Qualifications

• 84 months experience with Microsoft Visual Studio to develop complex n-tier web apps using ASP.NET MVC.

• 84 months experience with C# and object-oriented design, secure coding standards.

• 36 months ASP.NET Core MVC experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute the full SDLC for priority projects.

• Prepare scripts to modify Oracle tables, create indexes, triggers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot reports in Crystal Reports.
• Mentor other programmers and guide debugging, deployment, and security.

• Coordinate ITSM incident handling and service requests for the app.
• Coordinate releases and changes with ITS teams.
• Debug production issues and participate in bridge calls.
• Report task status and issues to supervisor.

This position will fill a key role on priority projects in support of the New York State Office of Mental Health's mission. The goal of the HHS_OMH_PRJ0251615 - EHR Interface Analysis & App modification Implementation write application interfaces to the new EHR to be implemented in the coming months.

This position will fill a key role on priority projects in support of the New York State Office of Mental Health's mission. The goal of the HHS_OMH_PRJ0251615 - EHR Interface Analysis & App modification Implementation write application interfaces to the new EHR to be implemented in the coming months.

Duties

• Daily Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:
• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Use Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 or higher and write code using MVC Architecture, .Net, JavaScript, JSON, Ajax, HTML, XML, dll, and WCF.
• Prepare scripts to create and modify existing Oracle tables, create indexes, constraints, triggers, views, etc., code stored procedures and packages, convert and migrate data when necessary.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot various rules, calculations, and data issues on application reports using Crystal Reports.
• Mentor and assist other programmers, both state and consultant, providing guidance for debugging, troubleshooting, securing and deploying applications, data access, data communications and system architecture configurations.
• Use a source code repository, such as Tortoise SVN or Visual SVN, or TFS or GIT for checking source code in and out, and branching off new versions of the source code.
• Work within the IT Service Management System to take in incidents and service requests for the application, as well as request services from other ITS groups.
• Coordinate service requests with various ITS Chief Operating Office personnel for releases and changes for the application.
• Diagnose and debug production issues reported via ITSM. Escalate critical calls as necessary and join bridge calls to assist in diagnosis.
• Report status of current tasks and outstanding issues to supervisor

• 84 Months Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio to develop complex n-tier web applications using ASP.NET MVC framework.
• 84 Months Experience developing and maintaining web applications that utilize modern client-side technologies such as HTML5, AJAX, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap and Cascading Style Sheets.
• 84 Months Experience in developing and maintaining web applications that utilize modern backend technologies using C# and modern programming principles; Object-oriented, scalable, maintainable, single-responsibility and highest application security standards.
• 84 Months Experience with Oracle: Database design and modelling, fluent with PL/SQL coding and debugging, stored procedures, packages, indexes, triggers, creating tables, etc., including the use of a tool to write and test SQL code and manipulate data.
• 84 Months Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) application integration including development of secure .Net web-services using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), SOAP/Restful APIs, message and queue processing, and/or an Enterprise Service Bus.
• 36 Months Experience in ASP.Net Core MVC framework.
• 48 months Experience in interpreting Visual Basics 6 (VB6) code and structure.
• 60 Months Experience in automated unit testing, utilization of Git and Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2010 or later, for development activities and code repositories
• 60 Months Experience interpreting, analyzing and extracting core use cases from complex business requirements and building the logic within an application's code to meet those requirements.
• 48 Months Experience coding and maintaining applications which contain Health Care data that fall under HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI).
