Job summary

Global Business Ser. 4u in Chicago is seeking a .NET Developer to design, build, test, and maintain software applications. You will work on a modern Microsoft stack with React-based front end, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems, participating in CI/CD and code reviews.

The role is onsite in Chicago (1 day/week) with a hybrid arrangement, for an initial 1-year contract to hire. Candidates should have substantial experience with C#, ASP.NET/MVC, Web API, and SQL Server.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MIS or equivalent.
• 5+ years in design, development, testing, debugging of software systems for large-scale or internal use.
• 2+ years with React, Redux, Sagas, Jest.
• 3+ years with Agile software development.
• 5+ years with C#, ASP.NET/MVC, Web API, WCF, Visual Studio, TFS, GitHub.
• Proficiency in CI, unit/integration testing, and code reviews.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft stack: Windows Server, IIS, MSMQ, .NET Framework 4.x.
• 1+ year cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and NET Core 6.x.
• 1+ year NoSQL (Couchbase, MongoDB, ElasticSearch) and Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and debug software systems for market sale or large-scale internal use.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in CI/CD, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
• Ensure solutions leverage REST/RPC APIs and modern .NET patterns.

Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
