Job summary

1872 Consulting is seeking a Senior .NET Developer in Chicago, IL (Loop) with hybrid work options for a 12+ month contract. You will build and enhance Azure-based applications, migrate on-prem to cloud, and collaborate with business units to plan projects and integrations.

The role requires strong .NET experience, front-end skills (React/Angular), Azure familiarity, and US work authorization. Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with .NET Development.
• 2+ years Front-End Development.

• Eligibility to work in the United States (citizenship or Green Card).
• Bachelor's degree in CS or IT-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Senior .NET Developer

Summary:

This role will play a key part of building new applications in Azure environment, in addition to add new features to our existing applications.

What you'll be doing:

• Analyze, design, configure, develop and implement intermediate-level solutions to meet business needs and objectives.
• Develop new applications and new application functionality for both internal and externally used applications
• Assist with the migration of applications from on-prem to the cloud
• Work with business stakeholders to prepare project proposals and develop project plans
• Work, as directed, with business owners, other IT teams, and vendors to create integrations both to/from vendors.
• Provide Level 3 support. Investigates operational or systematic problems and provides resolution using intermediate analytical skills and tools as necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date awareness of current and future directions of business industry and associated technologies.
• Investigate and document present procedures as liaison with user departments.
• May develop and maintain application security, design and documentation according to legal compliance requirements.

Skills we're seeking:

• 5+ years with .NET Development
• 2+ years of experience with Front-End Development
• Front-end stack: React or Angular depending on the application
• Must have at least some Azure-native development experience
• US Citizenship, or Green Card status

Nice to have experience: (in order of most to least important)

• Experience migrating on-prem .NET applications to Azure
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements
• Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Computer Science or an IT related field
