Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to interpret requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions. Based in Austin, TX (preferred) with additional locations in Southlake, TX and Richfield, Ohio, the role focuses on backend and full-stack development, testing, and collaboration in an agile environment.

You will design and maintain applications using C#/.NET, Angular front-ends, RESTful APIs, and SOAP services, deploy to PCF, and leverage AI-assisted

Qualifications

  • C# / .NET backend services and business logic.
  • Angular front-end development with TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
  • RESTful API design, development, and consumption.
  • SOAP-based web services and legacy integrations.
  • PCF (Pivotal / Tanzu Cloud Foundry) deployment and support.

  • Testing: unit, integration, and manual testing with test plans.

Job description

Title: .NET Developer

Location : Preferred Work Location - Austin, TX / Secondary work locations - Southlake, TX, Richfield, Ohio

Duration : 12 Months

Position Summary

The Senior Software Engineer will interpret written requirements and technical specifications for software solutions to business problems and develop software based on those specifications. This role investigates and documents problems reported by clients, performs software maintenance, and corrects defects identified during the maintenance process. The engineer will run unit, integration, and manual tests on software they create, implement test plans and test harnesses, document test results, and investigate and suggest solutions to defects and problems detected during testing. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret written requirements and technical specifications and translate them into working software solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications and services across the full stack.
  • Analyze and investigate client-reported problems and document the results of those investigations.
  • Perform ongoing software maintenance and correct defects identified during the maintenance process.
  • Author and execute unit, integration, and manual tests; implement test plans and test harnesses; and document test results.
  • Investigate and recommend solutions to defects and problems detected during testing.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and other engineers in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Required Technical Skills
  • C# / .NET - building and maintaining backend services and business logic.
  • Angular - developing and maintaining modern, responsive front-end applications (TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
  • API Development - designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • SOAP Services - developing, integrating, and maintaining SOAP-based web services and legacy service integrations.
  • PCF (Pivotal / Tanzu Cloud Foundry) - deploying, configuring, and supporting cloud-native applications.
  • AI-Assisted Development - experienced with GitHub Copilot and other AI coding tools to accelerate development, testing, and code review while maintaining quality and security standards.
  • Testing - unit, integration, and manual testing; test plans, test harnesses, and defect resolution.
Preferred / Additional Skills
  • Experience with .NET Standard / .NET Core migration and modernization of legacy applications.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server and relational data access patterns.
  • Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks and test automation.
  • Version control with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Soft Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player who documents work clearly for clients and colleagues.
