Job summary

The NERC O&P Compliance Lead at RWE Americas, LLC will support the internal NERC O&P Compliance Program to ensure adherence to NERC Standards and ISO/RTO requirements for power generation and battery systems.

With minimal supervision, you will resolve complex compliance challenges, act as SME for assigned Standards, and collaborate across departments to maintain regulatory readiness and support audits and inquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years in a NERC compliance role with renewable power or related experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of NERC O&P Standards and applicability to generators and ISO/RTO rules.
• SME for assigned Standards and guidance to internal teams.
• Ability to interpret regulatory changes and address complex compliance challenges.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, AirTable and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, coordinate, and monitor the NERC O&P compliance program.
• Maintain knowledge of NERC Reliability Standards and ISO requirements.
• Support compliance with FERC Orders, NERC Standards, and ISO/RTO market rules.
• Collect, review, and preserve evidence of compliance for audits.
• Deliver training and disseminate compliance guidance and best practices.
• Lead investigations and self-reports for potential non-compliance.
• Lead internal assessments and data gathering for regulatory requests.
• Track new/revised NERC O&P Standards and perform Compliance Impact Assessments.
• Lead projects and identify improvements to the compliance program.
• Serve as key contact for assigned NERC Standards with regulators and stakeholders.
