Job summary

Southern Company Services seeks a NERC Internal Controls & Compliance Coordinator to develop and oversee internal control programs ensuring compliance with NERC Reliability Standards and CIP Cyber Security.

You will coordinate with policy groups, provide guidance across subsidiaries, and report findings to management. The role emphasizes risk assessment design, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to uphold Our Values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems or Engineering.
• CIA, CISA and/or CFE certifications preferred.
• COSO Certification preferred.
• 3 years Operations experience in Generation, Power Delivery, or similar preferred.
• 3 years supporting compliance-related activities specific to NERC Reliability Standards preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional compliance initiatives.
• Experience developing compliance documentation including policies and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain NERC-related internal control programs.
• Monitor and enforce compliance to prevent non-conformances.
• Coordinate with policy groups and subsidiaries for consistency.
• Design risk assessments for NERC Reliability and CIP Cyber Security.
• Document internal controls and monitoring results.
• Lead special projects as directed by leadership.
