Job summary

NERA, a premier economic consulting firm, seeks 2027 job market candidates with PhDs in economics or related fields and econometrics training to conduct high-level economic research for leading law firms, corporations, regulators and governments.

Consultants will apply graduate training to build economic and financial models, craft reports and presentations, influence project strategy, and manage client relationships across diverse industries.

Qualifications

  • PhD in economics or related field with econometrics training.
  • Strong training in econometrics and quantitative methods.
  • Preference for concentration in applied microeconomics, labor econ, IO, econometrics, or finance.

We are seeking 2027 job market candidates with PhD’s in economics or a related field, with training in econometrics and quantitative methods. A concentration in applied microeconomics, labor economics, industrial organization, econometrics, or finance is preferred. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong presentation and project management skills, and the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems.

Consultants at NERA will have the opportunity to:

The applicable base salary range for this role is $225,000 to $235,000 per year.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
