Job summary

NERA seeks candidates with PhDs in economics or related fields, trained in econometrics and quantitative methods, to join our consulting practice in Washington, DC. The role emphasizes rigorous analysis, clear communication, and client-focused problem solving.

Consultants will conduct high-powered economic research, develop models, write reports, and present findings to senior staff and clients. You will collaborate with experts, manage client relationships, and contribute to project strategy

We are seeking candidates with PhDs in economics or a related field, with training in econometrics and quantitative methods. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong presentation and project management skills, and the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems. Candidates should have completed their PhD and may have between 2-4 years of academic or relevant industry experience.

Consultants at NERA will have the opportunity to:

The applicable base salary range for this role is $235,000 to $270,000 per year.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
