Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead patient care using the Nursing Process within the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.

The RN collaborates with licensed and support staff, directs care, and remains accountable for quality patient outcomes in a diverse environment. Education includes a Nursing Diploma; BSN/ASN preferred, and a current RN license with BLS are required.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice is required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Preferred certification in clinical specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for diverse patients and families.
• Communicates, delegates and manages nursing team resources on the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Utilizes data to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
• Embraces behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and morale in nursing.
• Adapts communication and explanations to the patient population and context.
• Other related duties as required.
