Bassett Healthcare Network in Central New York is seeking a full-time, board-certified Division Chief Nephrologist in Cooperstown, NY. The role combines leadership with a 100% nephrology practice, including outpatient and hospital duties, and regional travel.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Nephrology and Hypertension.
• New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
• BLS/ACLS/PALS Certification Required.
• DEA Required.

Responsibilities

• 100% Nephrology practice with 60% outpatient clinic and hospital duties.
• 40% regional travel to clinic and dialysis centers.
• Potential Medical Directorship of dialysis units.

Bassett Healthcare Network, in Central New York is seeking a full-time board-certified Division Chief Nephrologist.

• Salary Range: $400,000 - $460,000
• Medical Director Stipends Range: from $55,000 to $85,000
• Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000
• Location: Cooperstown, NY

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join and lead an established group of 4 Nephrologists and 2 Nurse Practitioners
• 100% Nephrology Practice
• 60% outpatient clinic and hospital responsibilities at Bassett Medical Center
• 40% regional travel to clinic and dialysis centers
• Potential for Medical Directorship of dialysis units owned and operated by Bassett Healthcare Network
• Call is typically 9-10 weeks per year – Monday 8 AM – Monday 8 AM
• 30-50 follow up dialysis patients
• 10-30 follow up transplant patients
• Become a part of Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
• Potential for faculty appointment from Columbia
• Daily interaction with medical students as well as Internal Medicine and Transitional residents.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $400,000 - $460,000.
• Medical Director stipends range from $55,000 to $85,000
• Sign-on Bonus: up to $100,000
• Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
