Qualifications

• At least 2 years of clinical rotation in various medical, surgical and other specialty areas.
• Previous experience as a physician assistant or physician assistant fellowship experience is preferred.
• Advanced Life Support certification may be required based on privileges.

Responsibilities

• Supports the mission and objectives of the institution.
• Educates patient and family about health adjustments.
• Evaluates treatment plans for effectiveness and modifies as needed.
• Prescribes medications according to New York State law.
• Coordinates implementation of clinical research studies.
• Works collaboratively with nursing staff and other disciplines.
