Job Summary: Geisinger is seeking a full-time Transplant Nephrologist to assist in managing our growing transplant population in Danville, PA.

Job Duties: We seek an energetic individual committed to clinical care, teaching, and medical education. The practice provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient subspecialty services, including pre-transplant kidney and living donor evaluations, as well as postoperative/long-term management of kidney transplant recipients and donors. The successful candidate will collaborate with transplant nephrologists and a multidisciplinary team in the selection and care of renal transplant recipients and donors.

The transplant program offers outreach clinics in the northeast and western parts of the state for evaluation and follow-up. Transplant surgeries are performed on the main campus in Danville, PA. The team includes one transplant nephrologist, three transplant surgeons, experienced transplant coordinators, and a nephrology department of 14 physicians and four extenders, supported by excellent staff.

Teaching responsibilities involve oversight of nephrology fellows, internal medicine residents, and medical students from affiliated institutions. An academic appointment is available through Geisinger Community School of Medicine. Opportunities for clinical and translational research are available through on-campus centers.
