Job description

Seeking a full-time Board-Certified Nephrologist with a completed fellowship in Transplant Nephrology to join a growing team just north of Boston, MA.

Responsibilities include:

1. Pre-transplant clinic evaluations
2. Kidney transplant wait list appointments
3. Donor evaluations
4. Inpatient coverage
5. Post-transplant nephrology clinic
6. Determining organ suitability from medically complex deceased donors
7. Managing renal replacement therapies (CRRT, HD, PD) on the inpatient kidney and liver transplant service

Administrative duties include:

1. Development of clinical protocols
2. Referral review
3. Candidate and donor selection committee participation
4. Multi-disciplinary rounds
5. QAPI and hospital department meetings
6. M and M conferences
7. Community outreach to foster relationships and referrals
8. Teaching fellows, residents, and students
9. Opportunities for focused research and overseeing the kidney exchange program via NKR
