Job summary
HCA Healthcare's Methodist Hospital Metropolitan in San Antonio is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our nephrology team on the night shift. You will deliver focused nursing care, administer medications, monitor patients, and support a high-acuity environment with a patient-first approach.

Qualifications
- BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
- LPN/LVN licensed practical or vocational nurse (required).
- Vocational school graduate or associate degree required.
Responsibilities
- Providing focused nursing care for patients with complex needs by administering medications, managing lines or drains, and assisting with interventions like cardiac monitoring or respiratory support
- Observing patients for status changes and escalating concerns quickly for early intervention
- Documenting timely, accurate updates to help care team coordinate in a high-acuity environment
- Helping patients and families understand complex conditions and recovery steps with clarity
- Collaborating with RNs, providers, and specialists to stabilize patients and guide transitions from ICU toward recovery
