Job summary

The University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Clinical Practice. This non-tenure eligible role offers a three-year initial appointment with renewal eligibility thereafter, aligned with a 12-month service period.

Clinical duties are primarily at VA Puget Sound Health Care System, including inpatient consults, outpatient clinics, and dialysis care.

Qualifications

MD (or foreign equivalent) and ABIM board-certified in Nephrology (or foreign equivalent).
Completed an ACGME accredited nephrology fellowship (or foreign equivalent) and must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Washington.
Successful candidates should demonstrate outstanding clinical and teaching skills.
Applicants must be U.S. Citizens (permanent residents may be appointed only if it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens).

Responsibilities

Provide nephrology clinical care on inpatient consult service and outpatient clinics.
Perform clinic triage and electronic consultations, and deliver dialysis care.
Travel to outreach VA clinics and participate in divisional teaching and conferences.
